Classic Team Lotus is staging a spectacular event at Hethel to celebrate 50 years since the first racing entry for Team Lotus. 20 Formula One cars will be demonstrated individually at speed on the Hethel test track. Static exhibitions of more racing cars will be arranged in the Lotus Cars factory. Video, photo and memorabilia displays will complete the exciting presentation of 50 glorious years of racing history.
Visitors will be able to get right up close to the cars in the operational Paddock area. Everyone who has worked at Team Lotus is invited. No doubt they will be pleased to share their wonderful recollections with enthusiasts of the marque. Hopefully one or two of the Works drivers will be doing the honours behind the wheel.
Staging such an event is a major undertaking, especially for Classic Team Lotus. It is hoped that this extraordinary occasion will attract a large audience.
Tickets in advance cost £12 for adults and £7 for 8 to 16 year olds.
Tickets on the day cost £15 for adults and £10 for 8 to 16 year olds.
Admission is free for children under 8 years old.
A Family Concession for two adults and two 8 to 16 year olds costs £30.
