Went over to B&C for a test drive of the new 135R. The suspension is excellent (firm but not crashy) and it is even more stable in cornering than the 111s. Meaty front tyres made the car feel heavier (even though it isn't) and the modified 340r tyres it was wearing gave buckets of grip. Turns in quick. It had a nice B&C zorst on which sounded great (although it would be a pain on longer journeys imho). Overall very, very impressed. Its not just a paint job.
The guy from Lotus took me out and I was asking him about the new cars which Lotus are working on. He said he's seen the Esprit drawings/models and they look AMAZING. He said it will maintain its traditional wedgy shape and but he said it will be a completely amazing, modern car. Lotus are going to evolve the Esprit like Porche have done with the 911. He said that America is a big market and they are well on the way with a new mid range model to sit between the Elise and the Esprit (M260?).
Thought he did well to keep fairly schtum because I was asking him quite a few questions :-) Can't wait to see what they've got up their sleeves!

EVO Magazine claim the S3 will be shown at the Geneva motorshow in Feb 2004. Apparently it's going to use some of the Aston Martin technology and move the chassis on a bit and make it more modular (shared between models). As expected there will be two verisons, one fro Europe and another for the USA. The Toyota 4-pot still seems favourite to power it but there are still rumours of a V6. Either way it will feature Lotus tuning and expect >200bhp and a heavier car than the outgoing model.
