The Royal Mail (UK postal service) has today brought out a new set of stamps to commemorate “British Auto Legends Thoroughbreds”, and we feel very honoured that they have included a 1976 Series 1 Lotus Esprit!
The stamps are classic in every sense and feature the very best in British automotive manufacturing from the 1960s and 1970s. The other five cars in the set include 1961 Jaguar E-Type, 1962 MG MGB, 1965 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, 1968 Morgan Plus 8 and 1963 Aston Martin DB5.
Every detail of the cars has been captured by the photographic expertise of James Mann. Most of us will never own one of these classic cars, but if you really want to “push the envelope” you could get hold of these stamps and celebrate the S1 Lotus Esprit with us!
